Enhancing travel safety

Adding automated external defibrillators to terminal amenities

As part of our ongoing effort to enhance travel safety, we installed automated external defibrillators (AEDs) in both arrival and departure halls. These AEDs are strategically positioned, ranging from the medical room to high-traffic areas such as departure gates, walkways, baggage claim areas, and in close proximity to the CIP Orchid Lounges.

* An AED is a portable device that delivers an electric shock through the chest to the heart when it

detects an abnormal rhythm and changes the rhythm back to normal. It is used to help people who have a sudden cardiac arrest, which occurs when the heart suddenly stops beating regularly.

Alongside this initiative, we've teamed up with ZOLL Medical to offer extensive training on device operation and emergency first aid to key members of our front-of-the-house teams. This allows us to swiftly and effectively respond to any emergencies that may arise.
