Danang Tourism Introduction Workshop by the program of promoting Danang - Nagoya direct route

On May 15th, at Nagoya, Japan, Da Nang Tourism Introductory Workshop took place. This is one of the most important activities in the process of realizing of the Memorandum of cooperation between Danang international airport and Chubu Centrair, which was signed on February 20th. This is an opportunity to promote fantastic tourist attraction in Da Nang to international friends and introduce Danang International Airport to international airlines, the travel agencies and tour operators.
Attendents of the seminar were representatives of the Tourism Department of Danang, Chubu Centrair International Airport, airlines and more than 30 tourism and travel agencies and media of the two countries.
According 2018 statistics, during the "Golden Week" from April 27th to May 2nd, 2019, there were about 7,053 passengers on 26 flights from Japan to Danang. At the workshop, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Binh – Deputy Director of Danang Tourism Department expressed a desire to be connected with the travel partners in Central Japan to present the destinations, products, service as well as invite business interest in organizing Charter flights within the framework of cooperation between the the two airports. Mr. Phan Kieu Hung-Deputy Director of the Danang International Airport said: "Danang has welcomed more than 139,000 visitors from Japan, increasing 2.6 times than year 2014. Moreover, in the first quarter of the year 2019, the number of passengers who flew from Japan to Vietnam has been up to 30,000. With the long term friendship of Vietnam and Japan for more than 45 years, it is definitely that Japan is the international tourist markets which requires to be intensive promotion. Therefore, we two airports agree to implement action to promote regular connecting routes between the two regions of Central Japan and Central Vietnam.”
On that basis, Da Nang International Airport and Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operation Joint Stock Company (AHT) provided information of preferential policies for airlines and passengers joining this direct flights. Da Nang International Airport expects to cooperate with the airlines and businesses to create a close association for the general development of aviation and tourism of the two cities.
