A THOUSAND LANTERNS
During the 2022 lunar new year, the Danang international airport was surprisingly decorated with over 1000 brilliantly colored lanterns meticulously crafted by disabled individuals. Through this initiative, AHT aimed to create jobs for persons with impairments to improve their quality of life. The glittering colors from a thousand lanterns not only gave a warm welcome to tourists, but also created an energizing image of the terminal.
3 RESCUE FLIGHTS AND 35 BUS TRIPS
When Vietnamese residents were facing the most challenging phase of the covid-19 pandemic, AHT assumed social responsibility in supporting those in need. Specifically, AHT organized 3 rescue flights to bring individuals, including patients, the elderly, and the underprivileged stuck in Covid-19 epicenter HCMC back home. In addition, healthcare workers and medical devices were dispatched for urgent support to the southern Vietnam that needed additional capacities.
During the same period, many residents were finding their own way back home on motorcycles over treacherous roads. AHT also organized 35 bus trips to transport these people, together with their motorcycles, ensuring their safe journey to return home. Behind each of these journeys was love and a spirit of mutual help and protection for Vietnamese residents.
THE REOPENING OF INTERNATIONAL FLIGHT ROUTES
On 27 March 2023, a ceremony to welcome the resumption of international flights in Da Nang after 2 years of disruption due to covid-19 pandemic with the theme “welcome the world back” took place successfully. The event was jointly organized by AHT and the municipal Department of Tourism. As part of the celebration, the Hot Air Balloon Festival was held in the APEC Sculpture Garden located on Bach Dang Street, which marked a positive return of the international passenger terminal at Danang international airport.
Additionally, AHT collaborated with VNPT Danang to launch a program offering free 4G data SIM cards for international tourists with the message "Enjoy Danang”. Its aim was to make a good impression on foreign visitors, support them in connectivity and information, and enhance their destination experience via digital engagement. The program ran from April to June 2022, distributing over 50,000 SIM cards for free to tourists at the Da Nang tourism information counter within the International Arrival Terminal (Da Nang International Airport).
Through such efforts, AHT company wished to join hands with authorities in determination to promote tourism and make a contribution to the socio-economic recovery and development of Danang city.
AHT COMPANY OFFERS FREE COVID-19 TESTING FOR TOURISTS
In June 2022, in order to create favorable conditions for visitors to Da Nang, the municipal Department of Health has agreed with Da Nang International Terminal Investment and Operation JSC to conduct free COVID-19 antigen testing for all passenger with the final destination that are required to provide a negative pre-departure Covid-19 test result. The work was carried out under strict supervision in the check-in area on the 2nd floor of terminal 2 (Danang international terminal), ensuring proper segregation, and minimizing the risk of cross-infection. Those who test positive for SARS-CoV-2 will be monitored and treated in accordance with COVID-19 prevention and control regulations.
